This is sounding great JP.
Your phrasing is so much more accurate than mine, but I get away with a lot at full speed because the mistakes are over so quickly
I'd be interested in your fingering in the fast bit, it looks different to mine - and I've recently revised how I do that too. Could you tab it for me please? _________________ Does anyone really read these? |

Very good JP, well impressed!
I feel like I should be joining the current Midnight Express challenge, but I don't have an acoustic. Ho hum... I'm having enough trouble with Peacemaker Die to be honest. Doing my head in... _________________ The Randall NB112 is mine. Oh yes, it IS mine... Time to crank up the volume... |

Cheers guys.
Mint- Yes ofcourse i will, i will do it Sunday if thats ok.
I am 99% sure the notes & phrasing are correct.
Fingering, picking & fretting is another story, i have also tried many variations, this way will work best for me i think once i get the swing of it.
On another note- my NB15 arrived yesterday, on a quick plug in first immpression i am blown away by the little fucker for the price of £80!!
Ill review it in more detail when i get chance to have a play Sunday. |

haven't watched video yet (limited bandwidth) but that's different to how i do it
doh!
i see though, that you do a pull off to open string after the 5-6-5 slide (or just 6-5 slide) on the second part of the run... i always thought that might be the easier way, but it's always so hard to 'unlearn' the way you've taken months trying to learn
i've basically not been practicing this for a while... other stuff to do... but still fascinates me... every now and again i have a breakthrough where a minute difference in fingering (yeah) makes it a fair bit easier to play... then find out it's wrong and start again! |

That's really strange, the part that I thought you do differently to me, you pretty much do exactly the same! Even watching a slower tempo vid isn't that revealing, it seems.
Thank you, by the way. _________________ Does anyone really read these? |

Don't know if this is known about, but it's my contribution to this thread.
As I've stated numerous times, if I can't learn a song I really like relatively quickly, it takes the fun out of listening to it and playing it. That being said, my playing has been stuck at mediocre for 25 years, but I still got tons of girls back in the day so
Anyway, you folks have way better technical skillz than I would ever care to attempt. This site isn't much use for me but .............
