Yeah it's definitely coming along quite nicely I must say! Still going with the wenge neck. I guess he used a maple one for the pic. _________________ Proud owner of:

Those look great. I especially like how the grain is going in the same direction. Jason was going to make some walnut covers for mine so they would blend but then he was worried they would warp over time due to the thinness. I can't wait to see the neck. _________________ Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess. |

| These a thicker then the plastic covers, (1/4 inch or so) they might shrink or move a little over time, but if they are kept oiled with the body, shouldn't move to much, and if they do, take'em off, who needs covers? hahahaha |

Those covers look great!
Ive done padauk and sapele cavity covers before at about 1/8th thick. I soaked them in glue for ages, sanded back the surface and oiled them to match the bodies, they havent warped yet. Although, we dont get the humidty/temp changes that you can get in the US and Canada |

Here's my padouk N4 with the flame maple neck that Jason made for me, I know you'll love yours Radji! I finally got the neck finished, and the guitar back together and set up, plays great! I'll do another set up after I play it for a month or so and let the wood settle in.
I'll try to get some more pics showing the flame in the neck up in the next week or so.

Man that is looking freakin SUH-WEET!!!! and I agree dave...I have the neck ferrels on mine too and I think they give the guitar a cleaner look . I like your guitar too dave. I like the maple neck with the paduak body. Im wanting Jason to make another one for me but I've got so many ideas I don't know which one to do. _________________ Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess. |
